About me

Portrait photo of Peter Matkovsky

Hi, my name is Peter Matkovsky, and I am a freelance designer.

I was born in 1988 in Slovakia, grew up in a small village in south Slovakia called Gbelce, have graduated at Electrotechnical High School of S. A. Jedlik in Nové Zámky in 2007, and since 2009 I'm living and working in Budapest.

My first experience with design goes back to 2003, when I had the opportunity to join a webdesign course back in primary school. I enjoyed creating something cool from nothing, and I still do. Since then I have learnt so much about graphic and webdesign, and also forced myself to learn all kinds of programming languages so I could design and develop better websites.

So these are all the noteworthy facts about me in a nutshell. You can now follow me on Twitter, read my blog, download stuff I made, or just send me an email. Thank you for your visit, don’t forget to download my fancy CV, and enjoy my portfolio below.

Ardex – BME Szakmai napok 2009

2009

For this email newsletter design I was asked by Magnet-X 2000. There was no limitation whatsoever, so I decided to make it look oldschool paper-like. (Funny fact: They didn't like it.)

Bytový podnik Nové Zámky

http://bpnz.sk

2006

Bytový podnik is the owner of most of the communal institutions in Nové Zámky, such as the famous Thermal Spa of Emil Tatárik, or the Relax Complex in the heart of the town. In order to represent the variegation of the company I was asked to design a website that is appealing to the vast majority of users, while being informative and colorful.
